****** SIMECENTER NEWS

The May edition of SimeCenter offers two recipients, two stories, and two artworks for your enjoyment.

First, seeking funds for "Modest Needs" and their (modest but extraordinarily useful) assistance to hurricane victims:

- "The Failure" - a hopeful tale of someone who isn't (a failure, that is) by Sue Lange

- "Pink Flowers on Blue Tile" - a graceful & colorful reflection design by GB Chew

These frightful disasters may have disappeared from the nightly news, but thousands of people still suffer from the physical and emotional damage they caused. Please be generous.

Second, we again direct your attention to the American Cancer Society , and their "Relay for LIfe" (a celebration of survivors!), continuing throughout the month of May:

- "The Hideaway" - rather like the Fortress of Solitude...with music, by Michael Cox

- "Savage Empire" (chapter 4) - continuing this exciting saga by Jean Lorrah with back-links to earlier chapters, in case you missed any the first time around

...Look up the "Relay for Life" in your area. There are teams all over the country. Donate to the cause -- sponsor a team -- help make the event happen -- it's important and it's exciting!

Last month's page will stay available a while longer, too, because it hasn't been up for a full month yet.

See it at all at http://www.simegen.com/simecenter/ .

When you donate to these worthy organizations, be sure to tell them you were referred by SimeCenter.

Please tell me about your ideas - how I can improve the site.

In Service to Unity,
Kaires Tevesu

This column is paid for by The Monthly Aspectarian, published on paper, posted to their website (lightworks.com ) then eventually archived here. Stacks of books are sifted to find those few worthy of a 5-star rating. No book of lesser quality writing is reviewed in this column -- though books for a wide variety of tastes may be discussed. This column is aimed at those interested in the magical view of the universe and those learning to write their own fiction.
