****** SIMECENTER NEWS

The new edition of SimeCenter offers another first: we've never had Sime~Gen artwork on SimeCenter before. And we haven't had a Sime~Gen story on SimeCenter since the very first issue (Sep 2000). This month we have both!

The train of events leading to this result is delightful:
 - I wrote to BroadUniverse asking for stories.
  - One of the members, Sue Lange, sent a story in [The Failure, May 06]
  - The next month, one John Grant offered us a story [The Hard Stuff, Jun 06]
  - When I asked howcum, he said his friend, Sue Lange, suggested it
  - Under his real name, Paul Barnett, he works regularly with artists ...so I asked shyly if he might mention SimeCenter to his artist colleagues
  - The dear person wrote a message to several artists, and two even answered
  - One was Jael, who immediately donated a lovely work [Rapunzel, Jun 06]
  - The other was on vacation at the time, but contacted me when he returned And...

Our featured artist this month is Todd Lockwood . The artwork he is allowing us to offer you is the magnificent cover art for SIME~GEN: THE UNITY TRILOGY!

To accompany this special artwork, I begged for a real-live Sime~Gen story...and got a great one:

Our featured author this month is Jean Lorrah, who is letting us post a tale about the world-famous musicians, Zhag and Tonyo. It's called "The Story Untold."

Both works are in support of a new recipient that Todd Lockwood suggested: Oxfam America , one of the few organizations still actively helping recovery from last year's hurricanes. Please be generous.

When you donate to this worthy organization, be sure to tell them you were referred by SimeCenter.

See it at all at http://www.simegen.com/simecenter/ .

In Service to Unity,
Kaires Tevesu

******BORDERLANDS UPDATE

Part 18 of Borderlands has now been posted: containing 19 episodes

In this Part, the Sat'htine disaster response team goes to work in earthquake-devastated Cottonwood City, impeded by culture conflicts with the Wild Gens. Your players fake it medically as Kat and Nick treat the injured nagerically. Their relationship develops further, as political complications ensue. New characters are introduced, and old ones reappear.

Comments are most welcome. It's our readers' enthusiasm that motivates us to get these episodes edited and posted. If we get response we'll get Part 19 out sooner.

Borderlands can be found at: http://www.simegen.com/sgfandom/fans/bev/ .
