** Personnel Turnover
As of 1 July 2000, Marge Robbins is resigning as Webmaster. To quote Jacqueline, "Marge … has been the most energetic mover and shaker behind the founding of this organization, and she will leave behind a gigantic hole. We believe she deserves a standing ovation and a gold watch -- because as we see it, she's done 25 years of work in the last year or so and that was just working here part time!"
"Patric Michael has agreed to take on the position of Webmaster until we can find someone to take over that department. Karen Litman will be his assistant, and has agreed to learn to manage the boards and the lists.
"Patric retains his position as head of the Art Department as well -- which is his real love. (have you looked at Arensti !!!! !!!! !!!!)
M. Kathleen Crouch (our first TA at the WorldCrafters Guild) has accepted the position of Coordinator of the Survey Project. She is current concocting questions for the survey, and could no doubt use any help you all can offer.
The Survey Project is to:
1) create a list of questions to ask visitors to our web site
2) create a form for visitors to fill out
3) figure out an incentive to get people to fill out the form
4) collect and tabulate the data
5) analyze those data into some kind of statistics that will be useful for the purpose of selling advertising.
6) incorporate that analysis into our pages offering our advertising deals -- and keep that updated.
Tracie Clark will be stepping down as /reviews/romance/ coordinator sometime in the future. She has 3 assistants who we hope will be filling most of that gap.

Last week (week of 11 June) was the 81st week of operations for us. Below you see the statistics from our domain's counter. We peaked at 57775 hits the week the search engines reamed us, fell, and started to climb again. The jump in numbers from week 76 to 77 is due to moving to the new frames-based format, where certain top pages that used to score one hit now score 3 or 5 hits because it takes 4 or 5 "pages" to make the framed mosaic that constitutes one of our top pages.
Of considerable interest is the array of countries from which those hits come. Look below for that. Here's our recent total hits. The first number is the number of hits, the second is the PERCENTAGE of the total from that country.
