Who is a Professional Writer?

 

To contribute your work to SimeCenter, you must be a professional writer. A professional writer is one who has sold a story for money. Acceptable proofs of professional writing status include any of the following:

  • membership in EPIC, SFWA, SCBWI, or other professional writers' organizations
  • publication listed at Amazon.com (which has all of books in print, including out-of-print titles.)
  • copies of tear sheets from newspapers and magazines

Each story may be offered for one month. If you want to support someone currently being helped, or if you know someone you would like to help, thank you!

If you wish to provide your work to sponsor a SimeCenter recipient, please email the name of the organization to which you belong, the name of your published work, or a scanned copy of your published work to charities@simegen.com.

Also, please print out and sign two copies of the consent form:
