as Work, made this day of , (year)________.
1. Author hereby grants to Company a license to post the Work in the "Read a Good Story, Do a Good Deed" program, utilizing the resources of the Company on the World Wide Web domain known as simegen.com, for one month, commencing _____________________. If the work is longer than 30,000 words, Author agrees that it may be divided into _________________sections (maximum six), to be posted one per month until all sections have been posted for one month apiece. In the case of a Work in more than one section, all sections will remain available on the site until the last section has been available for one month.
2. Author will provide the Work in the form of text in .rtf format.
3. All proceeds from the Work will go directly into the PayPal account or to the postal address of the Recipient designated by the Author: _________________________________________________. No donations will be received or handled by representatives of the Company.
4. Author warrants that the Work is his/her property, and that s/he has the right to license it to Company. Where possible, Author will use hotlinks to any material copyright by other persons or entities rather than copying them to simegen.com. Author will provide permissions and appropriate copyright notices for material by others posted on simegen.com within the Work.
5. Sime~Gen Inc. and simegen.com will have the situation of the designated Recipient investigated for authenticity by an independent investigator.
6. Author shall retain all copyrights in and to the Work. Company shall identify the Author as creator of the Work, and shall reproduce thereon the following copyright notice:

7. Company shall provide to Author a noncommercial website on simegen.com. Promotion of Author, Work, and Author's other work, along with said website, shall be Author's sole and complete compensation for posting the Work.
8. All rights in this Work not specifically transferred by this Agreement are reserved to the Author. Author is free to publish Work anywhere else (such as newsletters or print publication) at any time, with the exception that the Work posted on simegen.com may not be duplicated on another website during the time that it appears in the "Read a Good Story, Do a Good Deed" program on simegen.com. Author is, however, free to direct visitors to said Work on simegen.com, and link to it from another website.
9. Nothing herein shall be construed to constitute the parties hereto joint venturers, nor shall any similar relationship be deemed to exist between them. This Agreement shall not be assigned in whole or in part without the prior written consent of the Author.
10. In the event of legal action by a third party disputing Author's rights in the Work, Company reserves the right to remove the Work from display until such dispute is resolved. If the dispute is resolved in favor of the Author, Company will immediately restore the Work to display, with the days that it was off-line added to the length of time it is posted. If the dispute is resolved against the Author, Company's sole responsibility shall be to permanently cease display of the Work.
Important! Parent or legal Guardian must sign in place of Author if Author is under eighteen years of age.
