Nagging Urge
Tom Gant
Would it be so wrong, to
dig me up once I've gone?
Just to steal another glance
of the idle days we passed,
rather than lamenting over
countless dusty photographs.
Let the mind take the hand
and lead you to understanding.
Perhaps the thought of meeting
once again seems cheating?
Bury me deep then! Smother and cover me
deeper than all the times before,
but don't feign surprise to
find me strolling the surface of your mind
