It looks like a small cast bronze mirror
with geometric designs on the back and a smooth polished surface. But
when you catch a ray of sunlight on the reflective surface, you project
an image of the Buddha on your wall or ceiling. Each mirror comes in a
cloth-covered box, with a padded cloth lining to protect the reflective
surface.
Diameter of the mirror is 7.5 cm. That’s
just under 3 inches.
You can use this mirror to show someone
their true inner Buddha nature. Or if you are passing by a friend’s
window, you can beam the Buddha’s image into their room as you stand
outside.
I’m not sure exactly how these magic
mirrors are made. One website I read states that the Buddha image is
pounded into the bronze from the back before it is polished.
You can also make this image reflect
without sunlight if you use a strong scorpion style high beam
flashlight.
