S/G is the abbreviation for the Sime/Gen Universe novels, a creation of Jacqueline Lichtenberg. The Simes and Gens are two mutant strains of humanity, and the stories are set in a hypothetical future Earth where the characters must learn to find the strengths hidden within their weaknesses.

I've sold a vampire story (supernatural good-guy, action non-horror) to GALAXY MAGAZINE:, a revival of the old Galaxy Magazine, with a first issue Jan. '94. My story, Vampire's Fast, is serialized (a career first) in the first 2 issues and slated for audio recording soon - another career first.

I've sold GALAXY MAGAZINE a sequel, about the same characters, True Death, slated for Jan. 95 issue. To subscribe, or for single issues write Galaxy Magazine, POB 370, Nevada City, CA 95959

Contracts are in negotiation for two as yet unpublished novels to be published as profusely illustrated numbered, signed limited editions for about $125 a copy. The novels are Boxmaster and Boxmaster's Disgrace both Lichtenberg titles. I also have a tentative deal for the first volume in my nonfiction on the Tarot, titled Never Cross a Palm With Silver to be published as a single volume. I'll accept SASES now for future information, or order from the Galaxy Magazine address listed above.

I've just completed the rough draft of a double-length (250,000 wds) of the third Boxmaster novel, Boxmaster's Home. It has a lot more about the domestic life of the Kethsem, aliens in the first 2 books. No contract on this one yet.

ANOTHER NEW SALE: The very short story I had in an early issue of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine, titled Aventura, will be in the anthology, "The Best of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine" to be published by Warner Books in Dec. '94.

The second book under my new byline in a new field, is out in March/April '94. I've written a third book for that byline in a second new universe with potential for 3 sequels, but that book hasn't sold yet. I've finished the first novel in third universe for that byline which my agent is now marketing. All these titles are action-action-action.

Meanwhile, I've become the sf/f reviewer for a New Age publication distributed as a freebie around Chicago. The emphasis in this column is on the Tarot, Astrology, Occult, and Magick. The publication is called THE MONTHLY ASPECTARIAN and can be picked up as a freebie at distribution points around the Chicago area, or subscriptions are 12 issues for $36 by 1st class mail. Monthly Aspectarian, POB 1342, Morton Grove, IL 60053. I began with an updated reprint of my article on the emergence of the New Genre I have named Intimate Adventure. I've done 16 of these columns now.

Kerry Lindemann-Schaefer has gone back to school, but she is still continuing in her various capacities with Ambrov Zeor and the out-of-print 'zines. Her address is as above. She has acquired a copier for the 'zines. We have promising fiction in development for Ambrov Zeor, and meanwhile, the two novels I've spoken of so often, Kerry's Frevven novel, THE ONLY GOOD SIME ... and Andrea Alton's ICY NAGER are now available from Kerry. SASE her for price. She can also make copies of HOUSE OF ZEOR in 'zine format if you're missing it.

We plan to move one of these years. If ever POB 290 doesn't answer, try the other addresses above or one of my publishers, or my agent Richard Curtis, or ask any member of SFFWA to forward mail to me. I don't want to lose touch with anyone.

Karen Boyer continues the Sime/Gen APA - Amateur Press Alliance. This is a small group of people who each contribute 10 or 20 copies of a one page NONFICTION contribution which Karen then binds and sends to each of the 10 or 20 people involved, creating a collaborative fanzine discussing Sime/Gen and related topics, often focusing on the craft of writing. You can not get a copy of this publication without contributing regularly to it. For further details SASE Karen S. Boyer address above.

Jean Lorrah and I both taught in the official writing workshop at Worldcon '93. We continue to do such workshops at the regionals we attend. Jean plans to be at Worldcon '94 in Canada, but I won't be, though the first Boxmaster book might be out by then. I hope to make it to Scotland for Worldcon in '95, and am definitely planning on LA in '96.

Also, ENTERPRISING WOMEN, a nonfiction work about fandom, especially ST and media fandom, which mentions us all repeatedly, was up for a Hugo in '93, but didn't win. There's still a chance that STAR TREK LIVES! will be reprinted.

I'm planning on Darkover in '94, and hoping for the usual annual S/G gathering there. If you're planning to be there, write me or Kerry, especially if you want to volunteer to help with the Faith Day Ceremony and Shiltpron Party. Karen Litman hopes to have next CZ ready by then. DARKOVER Grand Council Meeting: Holiday Inn, Timonium Maryland, Thanksgiving Weekend. Memberships Payable to Armida Council Limit 600. Armida Council, POB 7203, Silver Spring, MD 20907.

Jean Lorrah has sold a short fantasy story to a new magazine. I don't have details. SASE her for info. Address above.
