Welcome to The Tecton Star. It is an APA for fans of Jacqueline Lichtenberg's Sime~GenTM series. APA stands for Amateur Press Association. It is a publication by and for members.

Next Deadline: February 15, 1999. Deadlines will regularly be on the 15th of even months.
Dues: $5 per year, which covers co-ordination expenses which should be shared by all members (covers and front matter, publicity, etc.)
Copycount: Send ***15*** copies of everything you write for the APA. If you want me to photocopy for you, your originals should be single sided and on heavy bond. Try not to fold originals, Remember to have margins to allow for stapling. Photocopying is 5 cents per page, and I require that you set up an account with me in order to receive this service.
Postage Account: There is no charge for the APA itself. However I do require that you either provide stamps for mailing the APA to you or set up an account with me (this will be combined with your copying account if you have me copy your materials).
Minimum Activity: 2 pages every other mailing. This is only 6 pages per year. (Grace can be granted for emergency situations. Please write and let me know so that I don't drop you from the roster.) This is a minimum -- you are welcome to write more if you wish.
Welcome Material: 1) Material having to do with S/G. Because of copyright restrictions, I must ask that fiction be submitted through the regular fanzines (addresses of both are included). However essays, poetry, filks, book reviews, 'zine reviews and recipes are welcome. 2) Any comparisons between S/G and other universes. 3) Any topics that arise from the S/G novels such as vampirism, symbiosis and co-operation, etc. 4) Discussion of any other work by Jacqueline Lichtenberg, whether or not it is S/G. This is an inclusive list, not an exclusive one. The only thing I can't accept is S/G fiction. You are welcome to write about what is going on in your life, things going on around you, etc.
Artists: Cover illustrations wanted. Don't put a mailing number on your covers, so that they can be used if multiple covers arrive. I also prefer not to receive originals. So send me good quality photocopies if possible.
Jacqueline Lichtenberg is permanently on the mailing list and will receive copies of all mailings for her files regardless of her participation.
