Assignment #1
Snow

  Fade in.
JIM. Snow... he wants us to talk about snow. We don't get snow more than twice every hundred years.
MIKE. Well at least this is radio so you can make it snow.
JIM. No sound effects, remember?
MIKE. Snow can be quiet; it's not always part of a howling storm. Come on now, just do the assignment.
JIM. OK. How's this?
MIKE. Not bad. It looks cold, wet, and fluffy out there?
JIM. Sparkling too. I like that look. Kinda like powdered sugar, though it won't feel like it.
MIKE. Nice drifts on the roof, not to mention our window frame. The way you spread it on the ground reminds me of waves. The flakes that are falling seem a little big though.
JIM. A.D.A. compliant snow, makes it easier to see.
MIKE. Let's go out and give it a walk through inspection. It should sound a little like stepping on styrofoam pellets.
JIM. That or stilted dialog.
MIKE. Come on. You did make a door to get out there, right?
JIM. Yes. But it's locked, and I can't open it.
MIKE. What? Why not?
JIM. No sound effects, remember?
