This is a physic vampire book. When Anna Stanfield's sister Sandra,
ends up in the hospital in a coma, life as she knows it is changed
forever. The doctors have no idea how or why Anna's sister is in
a coma but there she is, in the hospital unable to communicate with anyone.

Then out of the blue a man claiming to be a police officer turns up
saying that Sandra's coma is not a mistake. This man introduces himself
as Ian McGregory and says that Sandra's coma is tied to the deaths of
other women in the area recently.

What Anna doesn't know is that Ian McGregory is not human and neither
is the murderer. They are a race called Cintarian. They are actually
humanoid aliens from another world that fled to earth. They have been
on earth as long if not longer then man himself has. As a matter of fact
there are some of the ancient ones that joined with humans and produced
offspring. The offspring tend to have psychic skills to a point. The
more removed from the original the less the skills.

Now of course Anna knows none of this but she does know one thing. She
is being assaulted mentally. At first she refuses to acknowledge the fact
that this could be true and chalks it up to imagination. Once as a child
Anna used the skills of her mind and someone died. Though it wasn't her
fault she blames herself. Anna is very resistant to the fact that she herself
has psychic skills and that it may be the only way to catch the killer.

This killer is not killing by conventional methods, but psychically. He
drains the persons mind thus leaving them an empty shell to die. Only
with Sandra he didn't kill her. Now due to Anna's strong skills he is
coming after her. It is Ian's job to see that not only is this killer
stopped but Anna isn't killed in the process.

What Ian doesn't count on is that he falls in love with Anna. Falling
in love with humans is something that has been forbidden for many
centuries. So now not only are they battling a killer they must battle
their feelings and possibly the rulers of the Cintarians if they choose
to be together.

For those who love vampires or psychic killers you will not be disappointed.
