This is the story of a young girl cast out from her tribe. Though it comes
to pass that this girl is much more important than anyone would have imagined.
When cast out this girl has nowhere to go. She is eventually ends up on a
ship where she meets two others and becomes friends. When the ship docks
these three people stay together and eventually end up teaming up with some
others. One of whom is a knight and his squire, a prince, a woman stripped
of her knight hood and this is just to mention a few.

Then there are the dark forces that they come against. Though at this time
they still don't know the girl is of much more importance than eve she knows.
To begin with all these people are people of honor and when the dark forces
begin to wreck havoc in town they begin to fight against it. Then eventually
the find that not only does the girl they have named Calanna have powers, but
she is to be the savior of the world as they know it. If the son of the
underworld an kill he will be able to rule, so he sends his minions to kill
her. This is where the action really begins. As not to give away the story
I will end here.

Though I enjoyed this story the beginning was very confusing. The constant
shift to each person's story became hard to keep up with. Once the storyline
converged it was very enjoyable. However I feel the ending left me hanging.
