| Emilia, who lived in Chicago, was on her way to visit her aunt who lived in North Dakota and who was also sick. Will she make it to her aunt's house, or will she get sidetracked into danger along the way?
A combination of that little twist of suspense and mayhem that sends your mind reeling into the realm of the unknown and uncertainty. Liquid Bones is that kind of story. This is a spine-chilling thriller well worth reading to find out not only who did it but how their little plan was achieved. All the characters were innocent as to what was going on around them. But as the plot thickens, one of the friends finds out who the murderer is in a very special way. Will there be yet another victim before the murderer is found out? Can he be stopped? I needed to know, so the curiosity of wanting to know what lay beyond the next page kept me reading.
The author, Cassandra Zaruba is a born storyteller and puts real feeling into each of her characters. I loved the hint of romance throughout the story. This kept building the intrigue and kept me captivated from the beginning all the way to the end. As so many emotions went through my mind, I thought, even the villian was the kind of person you love to hate. There were times throughout the story I felt sad for Luke, then happy for him. Then something would happen to make me mad at him and Emilia the next. The horrifying way some of the characters met with their untimely demise stayed with me long after I read the book. A very scary read! | | |
