| White Lightning Road is the story of two friends, Jennifer James and Sally Jeffers. They met in high school and, as the only two big-city girls in a country high school in northern Louisiana, formed an instant rapport. Set in two parts, this tells the story of both Jennifer and Sally as they find their way back to Louisiana and discover that there is truly where their hearts lie.
The storyline takes some incredibly surprising turns, and the characters are not always lovable. In fact, it wasn’t until three-quarters of the way through Jenny’s story, that this reviewer even liked the main character.
Even though these women are in their mid to late twenties, they both have a lot of growing up to do. This book gives them a chance to do that. Interesting read.
