Mayan prophecy is used as a framework. Twin boys are born who are said to be predestined to prevent a disaster on Earth. The novel follows their growing years, which are filled with conflict and plotting on the part of people on the other side of the debate. There is excellent character development.
It's an exciting story that will keep you reading. After I finished it, I read the back and front covers and discovered that it is the middle book of a trilogy; but it stands very well on its own. | | |
