Mara Armand is the newly elected leader of the Armand Institute for Sensitives, and she has just informed her board members that an alien has been contacting her.
His name is Sander. He is an Explorer. His mission is one of peaceful telepathic study without actual physical contact. He has been contacting Mara for five nights just before she falls asleep. Her problem is that she doesn't want to let the board members know that the contact has turned sexual. One night after Sander has contacted Mara, something happens to his ship. Mara is able to use her powers to lock onto Sander and pull him to safety, so her people can rescue him. The Institute physician has just finished examining Sander when Mara arrives on the scene. Mara gets her first good look at Sander, and it is obvious that he is not human. He is tall, his body is covered with fur, and he has a tail. Mara takes Sander home with her against the objections of her people. Sander and Mara quickly realize they are in love and that there is a traitor at the Institute.
I enjoyed Lionheart very much. It contains the usual jealous ex-lover, a different kind of bad guy, and fairly well drawn characters. I am looking forward to a sequel. If you want a fast moving, sex-filled, hot story with an unusual hero, this book is for you. | | |
