| A little insight about the planet Shimeria:
The population of the planet Shimeria had been in trouble for generations. Of all the children born, a large number of them were male. There weren't enough females born, and this would eventually lead to the extinction of the entire race. Shimerian scientist had worked hard to solve this mystery, without success. The only action that could be taken was for the unmated males of Shimeria to venture to other planets to search for mates. Earth was found to be most compatible with Shimeria; and after long negotiations, Earth agreed to help. The planets of Earth and Shimeria got together and came up with the "ShimEarth Friendship Treaty". Earth would agree to provide potential mates for the Shimerian males in return for advanced resources and technology. The Shimerian male's idea of courtship, however, involved kidnapping and seduction; Earth's government made it very clear that for this treaty to work, it would have to be voluntary. Earth females "Called to Oath" were given three courtship options; two included a "Knowing" period -- the Oath of Seduction and the Oath of Challenge. The third option was added in the event a female changed her mind. Tair da'Kamon, a Guardian of exceptional skill, has found his pactmate; her name is Kate, and now it is time to claim her! Kate Carson is a 29-year-old successful lawyer, who believes men are like an expensive pair of stockings-"sexy when you first try them on, but will run like hell at the first snag!" She described her last lover, Todd, as "amusing" and a "nice diversion from the drudgery of a heavy work schedule"; she would miss the sex more than him! But Kate has other more pressing things on her mind now, like rescuing her best friend Sharon from her pactmate, Liken da'Kamon. So just when you think that things could not possibly get worse, they do. Two massive Pactreps with documents in hand inform her that she has been called to "Oath." Upon arriving at the pact office, she is faced by none other than Tair da'Kamon, brother to her best friend's mate. He already knows what Oath she will choose, "The Oath of Challenge". Kate is more than determined to win this test of wills; she plans to enjoy Tair and then walk away from him at the end of the two weeks, and he is just as sure that by the end of two weeks, he will have her in his bed begging to go all the way! Hmmmm! I wonder who will win this battle of the sexes. My money is on the sexy psychic Guardian with the "mityb." Marly Chance has outdone herself with this exciting sequel to Oath Of Seduction; If you haven't read it yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up first. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! The scene at the restaurant in Oath of Challenge; is priceless and will have you wondering about a "special" little toy! I can hardly wait for the next "Oath" story.
