| This is an entertaining science fantasy for children. Embedded in the story are some lessons about cooperation, responsibility, and the importance of communication; but mostly it's just a fun story.
The book is nicely illustrated in black and white.
Troy is a young boy with a speech impediment. His father is unable to understand him. After a car accident, the two are transported to an alien planet, where they are forced to engage in some kind of games, the purpose of which they are unable to fathom. On the plus side, there are devices that allow Troy to talk normally. A few of the aliens are friendly toward the two and help them escape.
This is an enjoyable book that can be read by the child or that a parent can read to his/her children. It also has enough depth to enable it to be enjoyed by older readers. | | |
