This book is a must read! It touched the heart and stirred the emotions. The author used such explicit detailing that it kept the reader's attention from the first page all the way to the last. How could anyone allow something like that to happen, especially to a child? She lived a hell right here on Earth. To be torn apart from one's family is bad enough, but to be subjected to such torture is another thing all together. It shouldn't have been allowed to happen. Any means of escape would have gone through the child's mind, no matter how dificult it seemed. And to search for her birth family all those years took great courage.
