Price: $5.99 | Upon reviewing the book set by Don Hoffman Good morning, Good Night Billy & Abigail and A Counting Book with Billy & Abigail, I found myself delightfully entranced in the world he creates surrounding the two children.
The two books are beautifully illustrated, and the words written by Don Hoffman accompany the illustrations with such magnitude that they draw the young reader into his make-believe world, hearing the words that he’s teaching as they learn life’s lessons, with a smile upon their faces.
As I read these books to a two-year-old child, I watched as his face lit up, awaiting the surprises that each page would bring. A Counting Book with Billy & Abigail invited him to count along with the children as they discovered the fun things in their own back yard. As we read Good morning, Good Night Billy & Abigail and Billy was tying his own shoes, my young child relating completely with the story saying “Big boy, tying his shoes.”
I would rate these books 5 on a scale of 1 thru 5, as they bring a sense of accomplishment as the reader is encouraged to comment and participate with the skills Don Hoffman presents to the child in a fun and challenging manner. | | |
