Song of the Valkyrie: Book 2 is the second book of the Saga of the
Night
Guard Legion.

It is a continuation of the story of Angelica, the Valkyrie
Protectress destined to guard the Blue Colt. The Blue, the horse of
prophecy, is born to be the mount of the Lord who will lead the Valkyrie
Legions to victory in the Last Battle.

We join the story as the Blue and Angelica are trapped in a sinking ship in the
middle of the Great Water, an acidic ocean that is deadly to the touch. Our
heroes seem doomed, but the Blue saves Angelica, and takes her into a land she
expects to be deserted.

To her shock, she meets humans, and finds that others have survived through
the years. She insults one, by defending herself and injuring him, and is
taken to the Marcher Lord whose land she is found on. Mortimer, the Lord,
puts her under his protection, enraging the Baron whose son Angelica
injured.

The resulting battles pit Angelica and her friends against an evil Baron
trying to take over the Marches. The surprising and joyful ending will
bring tears to your eyes and make you wish the tale was not over.

I give this book 5 stars out of 5. It is another complex, mystifying,
engaging, romantic and satisfying book. A perfect ending to the Saga,
one I was delighted to read.
