The Choosing: Book II of the Silvan Wars Saga

The demon god Tuwatha is slowly destroying the Silvan races on the Seven Cella Worlds. To save his children, the God Mac Lir has chosen Captain Feenix of Port Marcus and Prince L'Garn of the Night Elves.

Feenix wants nothing to with Mac Lir, especially after he cursed her. She just didn't see what use a belief in a god could do. Being taken prisoner by a Night Elf didn't help things either. Feenix is sentenced to slavery which is something her warrior nature cannot handle. Her determination to kill L' Garn and escape is hampered by Mac Lir's interference.

Prince L'Garn has strived his entire life to deny part of his heritage. Having his grandfather and the other elves hate him doesn't help. Capturing Feenix seemed like a good idea: the elves would have another slave and he'd finally be able to learn more about his human side. Unfortunately, L'Garn and Feenix don't exactly get along.

L'Garn refuses to acknowledge that Feenix may actually be the warrior she claims to be. A female warrior, ridiculous! Yet Feenix refuses to budge, constantly tormenting L'Garn about his human heritage. However much Feenix and L'Garn hate each other, they must put aside their differences. They are the key to Mac Lir's plan to save his children.

Ms. Welsh has done a marvelous job, bringing life to some memorable characters. These characters sparkle, never growing dull. With an intriguing plot that hints at a sequel, The Choosing is not to be missed.
