K. A. Corlett

K.A. Corlett is the author of two novels – EVER YOUR SERVANT, and REQUIEM (co-authored with partner in crime J. Statham). Currently she's hard at work marketing both, as well as a number of short stories. Most recently her fiction has appeared in Dark Regions #16, Blue Food, and Agrippina (fall 2002).

As EVER YOUR SERVANT continues to defy classification, it has become K.A.'s ambition to christen a new genre in the novel's honour. She likes to call it "smart-assed contemporary fiction". EYS explores what happens when a fierce vegetarian feminist collides with a two-hundred-year-old dead guy who has a passion for Hindu philosophy. REQUIEM is a dark historical fantasy that takes the reader on a journey from Calcutta to Paris in 1881.

In her deep, dark past, K.A. has served editing stints at Shadow Feast, Bonetree, and DeathGrip e-zines. Currently she co-edits Bygone Days ( www.simegen.com/writers/bygonedays  ), Sime~Gen's e-magazine of historical fiction, with Kim Murphy.

K.A. invites you to stop by Porte-Noire, her online den of perdition, at http://www.kacorlett.com. Do drop in. You'll find excerpts of her work as well as her recent CBC radio interview.
